ProFit’s Warranty on our Safety Footwear

Warranty Coverage on our entire range of safety footwear is for a period of 12 months from date of purchase.

1. Warranty Overview

ProFit Safety Footwear is committed to delivering premium-quality leather safety boots designed for durability, protection, and long-term performance in industrial, agricultural and commercial environments. This warranty covers manufacturing defects and material faults under normal, intended use for a period of twelve (12) months from the original date of purchase.

The below outlines what is covered, what is excluded, the importance of proper maintenance, and why unrestricted guarantees are not viable due to associated liabilities.

2. What This Warranty Covers

This warranty applies exclusively to ProFit-branded leather safety footwear and covers:
Manufacturing Defects in construction or assembly
Material Failures such as delaminating soles, split stitching (not caused by wear or misuse), or hardware defects (eyelets, zips, hooks) under proper use
Defects in Leather Uppers including premature cracking or disintegration under normal working conditions
If a covered defect arises within the warranty period, ProFit Safety Footwear will, at its discretion, replace, or refund the affected product.

3. Conditions of Warranty Coverage

Warranty claims will only be considered valid if:
The footwear has been used in appropriate environments, as intended (i.e., industrial worksites, workshops, or similar conditions).
The leather upper has been maintained according to recommended care guidelines, including:
Regular cleaning to remove dust, mud, or chemical residues
Application of appropriate leather conditioners and protective polishes
Avoiding prolonged exposure to direct heat sources (e.g., heaters for drying)
Allowing footwear to fully dry when wet, with natural air circulation
Failure to follow these care recommendations may compromise the material and void the warranty.

4. What This Warranty Does NOT Cover

The following are excluded from coverage:
Improper or negligent care, including cracked or dried-out leather caused by neglect or harsh chemical exposure
Damage caused by excessive or unintended use (e.g., contact with corrosive substances, molten metal, submersion in water or overly extreme heat; direct contact to fire or flame)
General wear and tear from prolonged usage, such as worn soles, scuffed uppers, or color fading
Footwear that has been altered, repaired, or resoled by third parties
Use in environments beyond the scope of the boot’s design

5. Importance of Proper Leather Maintenance

Leather is a natural, breathable material that requires regular care to maintain its structural integrity and appearance. When cared for correctly—through proper cleaning, conditioning, and polishing—ProFit leather safety boots will retain their resilience and protection features for extended periods.

Improper maintenance, such as exposure to caustic agents, immersion in water without drying, or neglecting to condition the leather, may lead to premature aging, cracking, and loss of warranty eligibility.

To ensure that your boots remain covered by this warranty, we strongly recommend polishing the boots with a quality leather conditioner at least once every two weeks, or more frequently in high-dust or high-wear environments.

6. Why We Cannot Offer a Blanket Guarantee

While we are confident in the integrity of our footwear, offering a universal or blanket guarantee exposes our company to unlimited liability—an unsustainable position for any responsible manufacturer. ProFit Safety Footwear products are engineered for specific working environments; once the boots leave our control, we cannot guarantee they are being used, stored, or maintained correctly.

Some key risks of an open-ended or unconditional guarantee include:
Environmental Misuse: Boots exposed to chemicals, solvents, or extreme temperatures can fail prematurely, outside of our design specifications
Misapplication: Wearing industrial safety boots for recreational, automotive, or extreme adventure use can compromise both safety and product performance
Lack of Maintenance: Without user commitment to proper cleaning and polishing, leather will dry, harden, or degrade—conditions we cannot be expected to warrant
A blanket guarantee would require us to underwrite variables we cannot monitor, making it economically and operationally unfeasible.

7. How to Issue the Boots for Assessment

To submit a warranty assessment for a possible claim:

  • Email our support team at info@profitfootwear.co.za with:
  • Proof of purchase (invoice or receipt from the Certified Partner where the product was purchased)
  • Clear photographs of the affected footwear showing the defect clearly, as well as a photo of the tongue label.
  • Description of the product use and your company name, address, and contact details

Our team will assess the claim within 2 business days and issue a resolution accordingly.
Approved claims will receive a replacement, or a credit at our discretion. ProFit Safety Footwear reserves the right in specific cases to inspect returned products prior to approving warranty claims.
